Engineers Without Borders (EWB) NL Chapter is hosting a Global Engineering event at Memorial University on March 16, 2015 and we’d love for you to attend!
The goal of the event is to create a networking and mentorship opportunity between practicing professionals, academics and students completing the Global Engineering certificate at Memorial University.
The Global Engineering Certificate aims to create recognition for the value of Global Engineering – both within the student community and beyond it, to promote and incentivize the development of Global Engineers through a streamlined certificate program, and to develop opportunities for continued engagement with Global Engineering education and practice for students and practicing engineers.
EWB believes that the Global Engineering event will help enforce the value of the certificate and the skills, knowledge, and attitudes of a global engineer in varied industries. The evening will start off with small group conversations, and the floor will then open up for more general networking. By creating an open space for conversation, it allows meaningful conversations in order to better understand the role of engineers in society.

Please RSVP to email@example.com by Friday, March 13th!
EWB MUN sent eight chapter members to National Conference. EWB’s national conference is an excellent way to provide chapter members with a platform for personal and professional growth, learning not only about the work EWB does, but also gaining leadership and interpersonal skills through the Leadership Day prior to the conference itself. It was a huge source of motivation as groups from across the country are able to share successes, failures, ideas and skills. MUN was particularly excited to be a leader within the “engineering leaders for the 21st century” as the first university to implement EWB’s Global Engineering Certificate.
Good evening ladies and gentlemen,
Firstly, hope everyone enjoyed their midterm break! Now it’s back to the books, and back to our regularly scheduled EWB activities!
Our next meeting will take place on Monday, February 23, at 6:00pm in EN4000.
This week, we’ll be getting a first look at a new outreach activity, and we will be looking at how to improve our innovation and teamwork skills!
This will be great for both new and old members who are looking to get involved with youth engagement, or who simply want to develop their own skills!
We hope to see you there!
